1. The standard Apple license applies
Your use of Unpack is licensed, not sold, under Apple's standard Licensed Application End User License Agreement, available at:

By downloading or using Unpack you agree to that EULA and to these supplemental terms. Where these terms conflict with Apple's standard EULA, Apple's standard EULA governs the app license.
2. What Unpack is — and is not
Unpack is a private, on-device journal for reflecting after your own therapy or coaching session. It records only your own voice, transcribes and organizes it on your device, and keeps it there.
Unpack is a personal journal, not a replacement for professional care. It does not provide medical, psychological, or professional advice, and it is not a medical device or a substitute for a qualified professional. It does not assess, label, or advise; it only reorganizes your own words. If you are in crisis, please contact real support right now — in the US you can call or text 988. Unpack is a journal and cannot help in an emergency.
3. Your content is yours
Everything you record and everything Unpack organizes from it stays on your device and belongs to you. We never receive it and claim no rights to it. You are responsible for your own recordings, including recording only yourself and only where you have the right to do so.
4. Purchases and subscriptions
Unpack is free to download and use for recording, transcription, editing, reading and searching your notes, app lock, and single-note export. Unpack Pro is an optional upgrade offered as:
- Monthly — $8.99 per month (auto-renewing)
- Annual — $59.99 per year (auto-renewing), with a 7-day free trial
- Lifetime — $149.99, a one-time purchase with no renewal
Payment is charged to your Apple ID at confirmation of purchase. An auto-renewing subscription renews automatically at the then-current price unless auto-renew is turned off at least 24 hours before the end of the current period; your account is charged for renewal within the 24 hours before the period ends. You can manage or cancel a subscription in your App Store account settings after purchase. Any unused portion of a free trial is forfeited when you purchase the annual subscription. Prices are shown in the app in your local currency and may vary by region.
Purchases are verified on your device. Refunds are handled by Apple under Apple's policies; we cannot issue App Store refunds directly.
5. No warranty; limitation of liability
Unpack is provided "as is," to the fullest extent permitted by law and consistent with Apple's standard EULA. Transcription and organization are produced automatically on your device and may contain errors; uncertain passages are marked, and the transcript is always editable, but you should not rely on Unpack as a record of fact. To the maximum extent permitted by law, the developer is not liable for any loss of data (including data lost when a device is lost without a backup) or for any indirect or consequential damages.
6. Changes
We may update these terms; the effective date above will change and the current version will always be posted here.
7. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of New South Wales, Australia, without regard to conflict-of-laws rules, except where Apple's standard EULA or your local consumer-protection law provides otherwise.
